Welsh Springer Spaniel

Welsh are eager to learn, but sometimes they can be overly stubborn and headstrong. They require early socialization and basic obedience skills. These dogs are made for hunting, therefore it is necessary to develop their hunting skills to prevent possible vagrancy. Training must be rigorous, fair and consistent. This dog is very playful and active. "Welsh" are very friendly and communicate well with children and other pets. They may be wary of strangers, but they will not be aggressive or overly timid. Weight: 16 - 20 kg. Height at the withers: 43 - 48 cm. Life expectancy: 12 - 14 years.
