Rhodesian Ridgeback training should be neat, simple and consistent, it is best to start training at a very early age in order to avoid unnecessary problems. The breed coach must be firm but attentive. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is an excellent watchman and a good hunting dog, but the hunt suits him better than the guard post. This hunting breed is perfectly adapted for family life. The faithful Rhodesian Ridgeback is a wonderful friend and companion. He may be too shy with strangers, and therefore needs full quality training. Weight: 32 - 39 kg. Height at the withers: 61 - 69 cm. Life expectancy: 8 - 12 years.
