Redbon Coonhound is smart and wants to learn. Dog training must be fair and consistent. Early obedience training and early socialization are recommended. Redbon Coonhound is loyal, affectionate, energetic and self-willed. He gets along well with children, however, due to the large size of this dog, it should not be left alone with babies. Also, the red coonhound easily finds a common language with dogs, but since he has a very developed hunting instinct, this dog should not live with other pets. Redbon Coonhound can be both a calm and good-natured family friend, and a ferocious and aggressive hunter. Weight: 23 - 32 kg. Height at the withers: 53 - 69 cm. Life expectancy: 12 - 14 years.
