Lancashire Heeler

It is recommended to conduct early socialization and general obedience training with the Lancashire Healer. Since these are dogs of a shepherd breed, special attention is required to teach them not to try to "graze" people or to grab them with their teeth at the ankles, as is naturally characteristic of all shepherd breeds. The Lancashire Healer needs an actively dominant trainer because these dogs tend to be stubborn and intractable. Rough or arbitrary methods should not be used; training should be conducted on the basis of firmness, fairness and consistency. Weight: 8 - 9 kg. Height at the withers: 25 - 30 cm. Life expectancy: 9-15 years.
