Caucasian Shepherd Dog

The Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a stubborn and rather late maturing dog. It is imperative to socialize from a very early age. Rough or arbitrary methods are useless and training must be done with the firmness of justice, patience, and reward. Dogs of this breed actively defend their territory, are extremely suspicious of strangers and other dogs. It is a balanced, stable and very perceptive breed. The Caucasian Shepherd is always ready to defend this or that which belongs to her, and nothing can stop her in this endeavor. Weight: 45 - 68 kg. Height at the withers: 61 - 66 cm. Life expectancy: 9 - 12 years.
